Lieu Hanh Saint – Lieu Hanh Princess

Lieu Hanh Saint – Lieu Hanh Princess or Thanh Mau Lieu Hanh is worshipped in most of pagodas in Vietnam. She is one of The Four Immortals and also a leading figure in the Mother Goddess cult Dao Mau (Đạo Mẫu), is “Mau Nghi Thien Ha” – Mother of human kind. Her real name is Pham Tien Nga who was borned in Nam Dinh province, Van Cat Village. Lieu Hanh is considered daughter of Jade Emperor (Ngọc Hoàng) who was reincarnated to help farmers in need of land, water, help them maintain pagodas, temples, bridge, poor farmers…That’s the reason why farmers respect and worship Lieu Hanh till now. It is believed that Lieu Hanh Saint is leader of Tam Phu and Tu Phu. Here’s an example in Nghe Temple.
